Which is better,Globe Tattoo prepaid or Sun Broadband prepaid?It will be used in Manila,both in pc and laptop.?
I have both of them Globe and SUN, also the Weroam of PLDT and Smart Bro.
for the cost of them are almost the same.
use in pc and laptop are the same.
and for the speed, base on my experience and knowledge, there’s no matter which is the best, its all depends on the location of the area; because :
1. depends on Signal : no matter which one of them, not all the area are cover by 3G network, the area cover by 3G or HSDPA (3.5G) network get the fastest speed up to 1-2 mbps, then follow by the area had EDGE (2.5G) signal is above 100+ kbps, the GPRS (2G) get the lowest speed almost as dial-up network.
2. and also depends on how many User are using the same network at the same time or at peak hour! because the operators are not giving you a guarantee speed, as more user used in the same area at the same time, they all must share the network, and will pull down your speed.
example: i had been encounter when using the same prepaid broadband which i got speed of above 1 mbps at other area that cover by 3G network and not at peak hour, but when i used it in area of Binondo at peak hour i had got the speed of as slow as only around 10 kbps and below ! that slow speed had drive me crazy!
the network that still don’t have much user to pull down your speed is SUN (but the user may also increase later on); and if you have more than one computer, they also had available of usb router to let you use the broadband with all of your computer at the same time.
but had the widest coverage and signal is Smart, and then Globe.
so, you better choose the one which is have the best signal & 3G coverage, but also have the less user in the area where your place located or place you going to use the broadband most.
you may try to ask your friends who use those broadband prepaid in the same area as you, and may also try by using your simcard and 3G cellphone to surfing internet or connect your cellphone & set it as modem of your computers, what speed you get there are almost the speed of those prepaid broadband.
