Kanji Characters?
I am wanting to get a tattoo with some characters on it, and the tattoo parlour has a sheet of flash on the wall with several kanji symbols, but I want to double check the accuracy before I actually get one put on my body.
Does anyone know of a website, or maybe even a particular book I can get at the library that would contain the character for ‘pirate’? It doesn’t have to be in any specific language, and in fact, it would be nice to look at the same word in several different languages.
I ran into the same thing in the opposite order. I wanted a Kanji and knew it. Thinking I had the right sign I went to the shop with it only to find out that wasn’t it. If you want the Kanji characters trust the shop, they do research that we can’t get to. I found so many different signs, and finally the same one that was supposedly the Kanji wasn’t. As far as other languages, I would stick with the Japanese language for tattoos. They are more globally the same where as there are many different Chinese characters for the same things. The shop I went to suggests Kanjis for that reason. Good luck with finding what you want! I have the sign for Dragon on my left ankle. Love it, hehe!
