Do you think tattoo parlors would pay for this service?
I have been studying Latin for four years and have the idea to make some money off of this less than marketable skill.
I want to offer services as a language consultant to tattoo parlors, as having Latin phrases tattooed on people is a common trend. Too commonly I see the wrong Latin.
Most people use online translators to interpret their English phrase, the problem being the computer fails to recognize Latin as an inflected language and only translates the words, leaving out the actual meaning of what the person wants to say.
Do you think a tattoo parlor would want someone like to accurately translate these phrases for them?
If so, is 5 dollars per translation a reasonable rate?
Hey, give it a shot! You would never know unless you tried it. Just tell them they can give you a call if they need your help with a customer. Go to seevral tattoo shops so you have a lot more calls instead of just one shop. Dont let these guys on here discourage you, you will only regret it if you never tried! good luck!
